Privacy Policy — Hyda

Effective date: July 30, 2026

Hyda is a water-intake tracking app for iOS. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use it — in short, nothing leaves your device.

What Hyda stores

Hyda stores the following information, entirely on your device (and, if you use the Home Screen widget, in a shared container that only your device and your own installation of Hyda can read):

What Hyda does not do

Notifications

Reminder notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device using Apple's local notification system. No reminder data is sent to any server to make this work.

How to erase your data

Open Hyda, go to Settings → Clear All Data, and confirm. This permanently deletes your logs, goals, reminders, and profile from your device and resets Hyda to a fresh first-launch state. This cannot be undone. Uninstalling the app has the same effect.

Children's privacy

Hyda is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children. Since no data is collected or transmitted by Hyda in the first place, this is a structural property of the app rather than a policy we have to separately enforce.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if a future version adds an optional cloud sync or account feature — this page will be updated and the effective date above will change accordingly.
